On Thursday, the Office of
District & Sessions Judge (HQ), Delhi has issued a order directing to
all Delhi Courts to stop using banned Chinese apps for Official Work.
The order is strict in nature as
non-compliance shall be viewed seriously, as it mentions.
The order passed by Officer
In-charge (Computers), Tis Hazari Courts with the approval of the District
& Sessions Judge (HQ), Delhi was issued aftern the Authority noticed that
certain orders and circulars were uploaded on the official website after being scanned
through a 'banned Chinese App'.
The Government of India has
recently banned a series of Chinese Apps which has deemed as a response to
China on account of border dispute. The famous chinese apps such as TikTok,
PUBG, Camscanner etc. are now banned in India.

"Keeping in view the above and
to comply with the directions of Govt. of India, all officials of the Delhi
District Courts are directed to stop the use of all banned Chinese Applications
in official work immediately. The Officials dealing with the website of the
Delhi District Court(s) are also directed to find out all such uploaded
documents which apparently provide an impression that same are scanned/copied
with the help of banned Chinese Applications and either re-upload afresh or in
cropped manner."
It has been cautioned that any
erring Officers who don't comply with this direction would face disciplinary
action.
Lately, a Judge has also taken
objection when a Lawyer produced bail application using Camscanner. He has been
asked to delete the app since the use is now prohibited and not to produce any
official document using it.
