On Friday, Rajya Sabha MP, & Shiv Sena leader Priyanka Chaturvedi said that Salary accounts of 50,000 Police personnel will be transferred by the Mumbai Police from Axis Bank soon.
Taking to Twitter, Priyanka Chaturvedi said that it was a 'much-needed move' considering the bank was arbitrarily chosen.

Chaturvedi tweeted that "Mumbai Police will transfer salary accounts of 50,000 cops from Axis bank soon. Much needed move considering how arbitrarily the bank was chosen & state government employees' salary accounts moved overnight".
Earlier this year, the Nagpur Bench of the High Court of Bombay had issued notice to Ex-Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, the Chief Secretary & 2 others on a plea against the transfer of accounts of police staff & others from public sector banks to Axis Bank.
