The Central Government has issued a notification for the appointment of one Additional Judge of Allahabad High Court, as Permanent Judge as per the recommendations of the Supreme Court Collegium.
Justice Virendra Kumar II, Additional Judge of the Allahabad High Court has appointed as permanent judge of Allahabad High Court.

The Central Government notified that:
"In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 217 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint Shri Justice Virendra KumarII, Additional Judge of the Allahabad High Court, to be a Judge of the Allahabad High Court with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office."
The Central Government also notified the appointment of Five Additional Judges of the Calcutta High Court after the recommendations made by the Supreme Court Collegium.
