Months after Hemant Soren filed a ₹100 crore defamation suit against BJP MP Nishikant Dubey for allegedly tarnishing his image through social media, the Jharkhand Chief Minister has now filed a plea, seeking a ban on the BJP MP from making any comments on him till the matter is disposed of.
The case of ₹100 crore defamation suit was heard in the Ranchi Civil Court on December 21. It was when the Advocate, appearing for Hemant Soren, appealed to the court that Godda MP Nishikant Dubey should be banned from making comments against CM Hemant Soren on Twitter.

The defamation suit was filed against Dubey on August 4.
Along with BJP MP NishikanT Dubey, Twitter Communications India Private Limited and Facebook India Online Services Private Limited are respondents 2 and 3 in the case. In the defamation suit, Hemant Soren has claimed damages in the sum of ₹100 crore against each of the respondents.
While Nishikant Dubey and Twitter replied to the court, Twitter, which is yet to appear before the court, was asked to put its stand during the next hearing.

Nishikant Dubey's lawyer argued that the defamation charges were wrongly instituted.
He has also sought two weeks time to file his reply. The court has ordered the defendant to file a reply by January 13. Facebook has already replied on the matter.
