On Tuesday, a single-Judge of Justice Mukta Gupta of Delhi High Court granted bail to Driver in Drug Trafficking to Kashmir Case.
She observed:
"Even as per the petitioner, he was the driver of the truck and had been employed by Haider Bashir War for the last two months only. The coaccused Amar Ahmad Wani who is similarly placed has already been granted bail by this Court vide order dated 22nd January, 2021."
"Since the petitioner is neither the owner of the truck nor the owner of the contraband and was merely employed as a driver, this Court on the basis of parity with Amar Ahmad Wani, who has also been granted bail, deems it fit to grant regular bail to the petitioner."
Thus Justice Mukta ordered that the petitioner be released on regular bail on his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of ₹50,000/-
