Raveena Tandon files FIR over fake Twitter account in her name
Bollywood actor Raveena Tandon has filed a First Information Report, or FIR, against an unknown person for creating a fake Twitter profile in her name to post tweets defaming the Mumbai police, its chief Param Bir Singh and morphing his pictures. Supreme Court stays order directing surrender of 2,300 undertrials
On Thursday, the Supreme Court stayed an order directing more than 2,300 under trials to surrender after the Delhi high court ended the arrangement by which interim bail of prisoners was automatically extended to prevent overcrowding of prisons during the Covid-19 pandemic. The dilly-dallying habit of the babudom has led the State government to shell out a fine of Rs 50,000 in the Supreme Court. The apex court had imposed the fine on the government for inordinate delay in filing a special leave petition (SLP) by the State Higher Education department.
